Washington, DC - Congressman Steven Palazzo (MS-4) today condemned the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) decision to suspend Title 42, a highly effective order put in place by President Trump, which allowed Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents to facilitate the swift removal of a historic amount of illegal immigrants during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The numbers speak for themselves, and they're substantial proof that this Administration is grossly incapable of protecting our national security," said Congressman Palazzo. "They've given the green light for anyone to walk right past the unfinished border wall and into America. It's time to use what works: Border walls and Title 42."

Title 42 is set to be terminated on May 23, 2022 with only Title 8 in place to manage to imminent surge of illegal immigrants at the southern border. You can read more about the CDC's decision here.
